Hm... I just recently have reactivated that prefix strip (I once implemented it and someone else has uncommented it later) and did not notice these warnings. I often configure without passing and --prefix and thus I am used to these warnings... > I do not know if this will have a bad effect on the build process or not... It has a positive effect on the build result (I hope) and it migth have a negative effect on the mood of the person who does the build :-) Thanks for telling me about this problem.
