I just discovered that when texdoc finds an .html file, it tries to start a new Netscape, using the command 'netscape %s'. This is not necessary for users of Redhat Linux netscape rpms. /usr/bin/netscape is a shell script which deals with this correctly. AFAI can see, up to now
