Hello, I am trying to run tetex under cygwin 1.3.1. I downloaded tetex-beta, texklib, and texmflib, and did gunzip and tar -xf. Running 'texconfig', I get Error: kpsewhich cannot find file, although '' is under /usr/share/texmf/metafont/misc I also noticed that

Thanks, Thomas. I had ls-R, so I deleted it. I ran texconfig, which generated a new ls-R, and things are fine. I could not understand how texconfig generates the format files. It opens the fmtutil.cnf files, and then ... Anyway, I did fmtutil --all, but that only generated omega.fmt. That

Hello Thomas, I am running into big trouble. I deleted everything and re-installed tetex-beta (cygwin) and tetex-texmf. Now, I am unable to get the format files after texhash and texconfig init. The problem is that the binaries cannot be found although they are under /bin. I deleted ls-R
