Download the texmf tarball of teTeX-beta. That's what I currently have.
That's how I did it.

I thought there is something like a CHANGES file (similar to a
Changelog) in NetBSD's Pkgsrc-System, where every notable Update is
logged (manually) and one has to view this file to see current
state/version included packages.

But your recommended solution is practicable too.

Where can I point requests/proposals for update or inclusion of packages
  send to?

Just send that directly to me.
Okidoki.

explore packages and pkg-versions in teTeX

2002-11-19 Thread Dirk Ruediger
Hi all!

how can I find out, which versions of which packages are currently
contained in a current teTeX distribution?

An example: I'm using teTeX-1.0.7 on a NetBSD box. It is delivered with
listings.sty 0.20 (I suppose). Now I wanted to know, if the actual
listings-package (1.0) is contained or if it has to be updated in teTeX.
I did download the teTeX-texmf tarball and checked it - Maybe that's not
the best solution?

Where can I point requests/proposals for update or inclusion of packages
send to?

Regards, Dirk
