I normally use PMX to obtains midi files. During a conference, could recently
listen an impressive example of a sound file produced with cubase (windows):
a "performance", with synthetized voices that were singing the actual text.

that's the way I do it now. But this is problematic if I extract or
rearrange voices or change the M-Tx style (e.g. SATB to SATB4).

I discovered and fixed a bug in the new rest-positioning algorithm. Now when
AK is issued, it will place simultaneous rests of equal duration at the
default heights (unless user-defined tweaks have been issued).
