Ian was a contemporary composer often playing with older music tunes and harmony - like in this rondo. The trio consist of 4 movements imitating various styles but always with Ian very present as composer. IMSLP offers quite a few of his compositions. You'll notice that he had many colours on his palet. -- Christian Mondrup WIMA: Werner Icking Music Archive http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:WIMA_files --- [email protected] mailing list If you want to unsubscribe or look at the archives, go to https://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music

Re: [Tex-music] Off-topic: music quotation?
Hi Christian, I tried the incipit search function in RISM, https://opac.rism.info/metaopac/start.do?View=rism&SearchType=2&Language=en, but when I input the first 9 notes I got four matches none of them is any known music. Of course, it might just mean that the RISM database doesn't contain so much. /Mats On 2024-06-28 13:48, Christian Mondrup wrote: I know this is off-topic.
