We were up in Marfa last night for the CDRI presentation on Aldo Leopold: Green
Fire . Runi and Susan also showed up. It is a wonderful film sure to notch up
your land ethic. It will be cut to fit the time available for a later PBS
showing.
Just talked to Tim Roberts, the TPWD regional archeologist who lives in the Ft. Davis Estates just outside of town. They had to evacuate
yesterday but were able to return to their house today. He said the firefighters did a good job, because a plastic shed 15 feet from their
house had melted

We lost 5700' of plant and 19 poles burned down... I was all morning assessing
damage here in Midland County.
