The possibility of digging this Sunday boils down to the receipt of a
new winch. It was supposed to arrive this week. I am still waiting.
There are still 7 full barrels at the bottom of the pit. If we can't
get them emptied there is no reason to dig. Stay tuned. I will try to

The Texas Cave Management Association (TCMA) will be having a work day
Saturday, November 10th to dig out a cave (Niche Cave) on one of our
properties, the Rolling Oaks Cave Preserve in Bexar County
(northwestern San Antonio).
We plan to continue to dig out a sinkhole and associated cave that is
Boulder, Colo., USA � This month, GSA's top geoscience journal, Geology,
has posted 30 new articles ahead of print. Locations studied include
Bhutan; the James Bay Lowland of Canada; Mount Taranaki, New Zealand;
Fort Stanton Cave and Carlsbad Cavern, New Mexico, USA.

Pajarito Grotto had our meeting last night and we will be sending in a
statement to the BLM.
I have also been working on an email to the NM Interagency WNS committee to
follow up on the Nov 2010 meeting on behalf of SWR.

I have been working at the Lincoln National Forest level to get some of the
caves currently closed reopened. I will also now start writing to the FS
officials in Alburqueque level to advise them of our concerns over the extended
time that the caves have been closed and the fact

HGRP has also been working with the LNF in any way we can, with over a half
million dollars of volunteer value since 1999, with the goal to open or keep
caves open to recreational use in the LNF.
