For those that might be interested, here's some history on the discovery and early history of the cave: Wonder Cave was discovered in1893 by Mark A. Bevers, a former cowboy and freight hauler who settled in SanMarcos about 1882. Mr. Bevers was drilling for water in what is now the parkinglot
