I first went to Carrizal in 1967 and there was already a sign on the building
there between the 2 entrances warning of the histo danger. I was raised with
chickens so have a high histo resistance. We went caving there a dozen or more
times with small and large groups and I don't recall that

Jerry -- Thanks. If I find any that the AMCS doesn't already have and
the scans in the KIP archive are inadequate, I'll let you know. There
well might be some from ~1970, when the AMCS Newsletter wasn't coming
out regularly but there was a lot of Mexican caving going on. -- Bill

manuals should go on KIP. They weren't published under the Texas Caver

In the process of looking for maps of Mexican caves in the Karst
Information Portal archive of Texas Cavers, I checked the issues older
than 1972. (I posted link to corrections to 1972 and later yesterday.)
The only cave map seriously defective in the earlier issues is the
centerfold map
Bill wrote should be scanned and replaced in the TSA or TSS archive of issues,
though probably no need to mess with what's in KIP. I strongly disagree.
First, KIP makes the Texas Caver and other publications available and easily
discoverable internationally, not just those who know to look in
Nominations for the Texas Speleological Association offiver positions will
close on Monday, November 17 2014.
I will then confirm with all nominees that they are willing and/or able to
run. The ballot will be prepared on-line and be made available for voting
shortly thereafter.

There appears to be crystals in the rock near the Lander's leg - Dogtooth
Spar like crystals . I spot 3 or 4 of them. Photo is to blurry to really
tell.

Currently the Caves of Carrizal, are considered of the state of Coahuila
and the Secretary of Tourism, has a project to make this cave a place for
tourism.
Despite knowing that the cave has histoplasmosis.
