I met Bill Russell in 1967 when I was a UT student. He took me and others caving off the trails at Inner Space Cavern, where we worked together. We guides were in awe of Bill. We were 20 or 21 and he was 29 and had explored hundreds of caves already. He made us all more knowledgeable guides.
