Everyone,
Enclosed below is the WNS decontamination protocol for any and all cave
visitation as required by the Washington and Regional offices.

Please distribute this out to all concerned individuals. Also, please review
and get with me if (when) you have any questions.
You may well have already seen this but I am sending this out to be sure
everyone has a copy and plan for
implementation. At present there are no facilities on this District for
decontamination activities.

This is not optional. As of 1/Oct/2010 this full process will be mandatory for
any cave activity and a condition for receiving a cave permit.
At present, I have no authority to exclude any cave or cave entry action from
this direction.

I think it may be very beneficial for all of us to give this as wide a
distribution as possible. I also think that it would be
a good idea to get us all together and discuss this. I'm thinking a public
cave management meeting. Let me hear from you if you think
this would be something you think we need.

For starters I suggest the 28th at 630 PM. I have the Library Annex here in
Carlsbad.

Or Sooner or different date if everyone can agree on dates and times.

phone messages at 575/885-4181or email me at: lp...@fs.fed.us

Thanks,
lp
