I have a question for you engineers.
The Sten light power brightness summary :
http://www.stenlight.com/fact-sheet.htm
States that on TURBO setting with no limiting the LUMEN output is 140
lumens...and at the top of the chart it says the units are LUMENS 2 (
squared).
What does that
is really 10 times
brighter (wonder how long that one lasts?).

The Sten
John, I've never used the Sten, but I recently picked up one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Fenix-Level-225-Lumen-Headlamp and love it.
It doesn't have a diffuser on this light, so it has quite the beam on it,
but they do make a decent diffuser that will snap onto the light which works
well for

The Sten light
If you really want a kick-a** light, get a Scurion 1300 lamp head.
They claim to be 1300 lumens on the high setting. They make Sten
lights look like wussy Maglites.

You can buy a bike holder as an option, or an orienteering head strap.
They're also more waterproof
I have the Scurion K, which puts out 1200 lumens on the high setting.
Its the best thing ever, and blows away the sten. Sten users I have
caved with nicknamed it the Scary - on
I use a cell phone screen protector on the glass face, this way I
don't scratch the glass.
