Maybe it is worth mentioning that only 5 old-timers got awards at the
convention.
I think that the rest of the award recipients were young'uns under 55.
Bill Mixon was awarded the NSS Certificate of Merit.
The other old-timers were Ted Kayes, Roy Gold, and Philip Lucas.

Just a reminder that the deadline for nominating candidates for NSS
awards to be announced at the banquet at the end of the 2014 NSS
convention in Huntspatch is November 15. See the September NSS News,
page 21, for information about all the awards and to whom nominations
should be sent for
