I will say that this is an excellent course and teaches important life skills. I would encourage anyone that caves or is every more than 30 minutes away from EMS to take this course (that's everyone who ever leaves the city).
If you are from out of town and want to attend, let me know and we can make some arrangements for lodging with local cavers. I have a personal interest in getting as many people trained as possible as it's important that YOU have the course in case you need to work on ME. LOL. Anyway, Vicky and Siena, are outstanding instructors and also lots of fun. The last time they taught it, a number of cavers took the course. I understand it is also now required for everyone leading a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch. In addition the price for this course is usually many hundreds of dollars. The certification is good for 3 years. Geary Subject: ARC Wilderness First Aid Training Aug 6 - 8, 2010 What? American Red Cross - Wilderness First Aid Training.
