I will say that this is an excellent course and teaches important life skills.  
I would encourage anyone that caves or is every more than 30 minutes away from 
EMS to take this course (that's everyone who ever leaves the city).

If you are from out of town and want to attend, let me know and we can make 
some arrangements for lodging with local cavers.

I have a personal interest in getting as many people trained as possible as 
it's important that YOU have the course in case you need to work on ME.  LOL.

Anyway, Vicky and Siena, are outstanding instructors and also lots of fun.  The 
last time they taught it, a number of cavers took the course.  I understand it 
is also now required for everyone leading a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch.  In 
addition the price for this course is usually many hundreds of dollars.  The 
certification is good for 3 years.

American Red Cross - Wilderness First Aid Training.

When?
7PM to 10 PM, Friday, August 6th
9AM to 6 PM, Saturday, August 7th
9AM to 6 PM, Sunday, August 8th.
Participants MUST attend all sessions

Where?
Sally Cheever Girl Scout leadership Center
               811 N. Coker Loop Road, San Antonio, TX

Fee?
               $60/person, includes student materials/book (This is commonly a 
$300 course)

Pre-requisites?

               14 years of age or older
               Current ARC or AHA CPR Card (must include infant and AED)
               If you don't have this, call Vicky early to make training 
arrangements - I'll work with you!

The dress is "comfortable casual" but please no tank tops or sleeveless shirts
Wear closed-toed shoes and a ball cap or bucket/beanie hat.
Be prepared to train both indoors and outdoors.  Regardless of weather.
