John, thank you for the input, it's greatly appreciated.

This mailing list has a digest option, but I have never tried to use it. My suggestion if you want to try it, subscribe using a test account at first (gmail, yahoo, or 2nd email account, etc) and see how it works as a digest. If you want to try that, reply back with which account you want to try, and I'll set you up. Unfortunately, this is a manual option I have to set per user.

As to the financial stuff, the monthly fees are null, however, to get Bill Bentley totally out from under texascavers.com as a domain, I purchased what he had into the domains, $70 worth.

If the TSA and/or TCR want to refund some or all of that to me, I won't complain, but I wasn't going asking for it. I'm doing this to help out all cavers, because I love caving and want to help out where I can. As I put in one of my initial messages, I've added google ads to the webpage, any profits will be given out to TSA, TCMA, NSS, etc. If anyone ponies up money for the domain, profits will be given back for reimbursement for the domain charges.

Hopefully all of that makes sense!
Thanks again John
Charles

My vote would be IF you hit Reply ...it goes to the sender.....and Reply ALL
goes to the entire list.
And I have one other suggestion....is IF there is an option to receive the
daily postings in a digest form...then I could see that option being
something appealing.
Now I don't want to step on anyones toes or tread on anyones turf. so
please don't take these questions in that light.
There has been some discussion amongst the TSA officers about how OR if the
TSA should be supporting this mailing list from a financial stand point. And
I would like to hear what YOU think. Do you want the TSA to fund this OR
should it remain as it has worked in the past....which I believe is "a hat
is passed at the TSA convention" and also at TCR to solicit donations. I
asked Bill Bentley, And he said he thought it should continue to be a
privately funded and run mailing list....which is fine with me.
But IF you want funding from the TSA; then we should discuss how that would
work. I believe there is some consensus within the TSA Executive Committee
that the TSA should be supporting the mailing list. But If it isn't
broken---then lets not fix it.
What are your thoughts ?
Also, I want to thank you for stepping forward and taking this list
on...this is an incredible service to Texas Cavers. The TSA and all cavers
benefit from having this mailing list available. And the TSA will do
whatever we need to do to make certain that you are supported in your
efforts. Just let us know what you need.

I know I keep bugging everyone with non-caving related items, but just
indulge me a bit more if you would please.

A few people have mentioned that this list is setup a bit differently
than the last host due to the reply button going to the list, instead of
the person. I don't reply to enough on the list to have noticed it, but
a few of you that do have.

The question is, what is the consensus of the group? Most mailing lists
have it setup as we do now, reply goes to the list, then reply all if
you want to send to just a person and remove the mailing list info.

I really don't want 300 people saying yeah or nay, however, I do want
some pro's and con's to it. I do not want to go changing things up, I
made a mistake when migrating it and don't want to just switch it mid
stream, even just a few days later, without a notification or agreement
that it's what the majority wants.

Thanks for your time
Charles
