[Texascavers] A trail-mix food recommendation
The product in the link below meets the OLSA - Official Locklear Seal of Approval. The walnuts taste one day stale. But for the price, the combination of pecans, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, almonds and walnuts is a value. 0 sodium, but 5g of added sugar. It only lacks brazil-nuts, hazelnuts, macadamias, etc., and your favorite type of chocolate. There are similar items at SAM's Club or Costco, and sometimes discount stores like Marshall's and likely better deals on-line. But this is readily available 24/7 - even in large rural towns. Back in the late 80's, when I wanted to carry trail mix in my kit, it was expensive and almost always had peanuts in it as a filler. ( Peanuts being the nut of last resort, unless you want a PB snack ). https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Omega-3-Trail-Mix-22-oz/962918805?wmlspartner=wlpa=0=4526=2280==g=m=42423897272=pla-51320962143=9027656pla=8175035=local=962918805=4526=sem=CjwKCAiA9efgBRAYEiwAUT-jtJa3J7K0Qp-nkUuj2B-FMSiS9S0sawcZtwpcxz2UNCxfsBKlp8p9MhoC-xYQAvD_BwE How long could a human survive on this product on a deserted island. On a related note, the YouTube movie, ( '41' ) from 2012 also meets the OLSA. I am trying "futily" to wrap up work, then make a quickie road-trip to Mansfield on Friday, Hot Springs on Saturday, my apartment in Alief for the 24th 25th, my mom's in Cypress the 26th and then Reynosa Mexico for New Years. I have guest space and food for cavers at my new bachelor-pad. 4545 Cook Rd. #716 Houston,TX 77072 https://www.dropbox.com/s/lrwz78wf4hb8z43/20181218_225041.jpg?dl=0 Merry Christmas Vaya con dinero, David ___ Texascavers mailing list | http://texascavers.com Texascavers@texascavers.com | Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/texascavers@texascavers.com/ http://lists.texascavers.com/listinfo/texascavers
Re: [Texascavers] Forward to Darrel Reece ?
Yes, Darrell lives in Corpus, was at the last TCR, and I believe he teaches at the Community College (Del Mar?)
