[Texascavers] A trail-mix food recommendation

2018-12-19 Thread David
The product in the link below meets the OLSA - Official Locklear Seal of
Approval.

The walnuts taste one day stale. But for the price, the combination of
pecans, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, almonds and walnuts is a
value.

0 sodium, but 5g of added sugar.

It only lacks brazil-nuts, hazelnuts, macadamias, etc., and your favorite
type of chocolate.

There are similar items at SAM's Club or Costco, and sometimes discount
stores like Marshall's and likely better deals on-line. But this is
readily available 24/7 - even in large rural towns.

Back in the late 80's, when I wanted to carry trail mix in my kit, it was
expensive and almost always had peanuts in it as a filler. ( Peanuts being
the nut of last resort, unless you want a PB snack ).

How long could a human survive on this product on a deserted island.

On a related note,

the YouTube movie, ( '41' ) from 2012 also meets the OLSA.

I am trying "futily" to wrap up work, then make a quickie road-trip to
Mansfield on Friday, Hot Springs on Saturday, my apartment in Alief for the
24th 25th, my mom's in Cypress the 26th and then Reynosa Mexico for New
Years.

I have guest space and food for cavers at my new bachelor-pad.

Yes, Darrell lives in Corpus, was at the last TCR, and I believe he teaches
at the Community College (Del Mar?) He's listed as Darrell Rees in earlier
TSA lists, and there's a phone number for Darrell A . Rees in whitepages.com
...
