Mallory: Have no fear, the caving community has far reaches throughout the world. Have fun, and will we see you at TCR?--Ernie G Original Message Subject: [Texascavers] Trip help? From: Mallory via Texascavers texascavers@texascavers.com Date: Thu, July 30, 2015 2:27 pm To: CaveTex texascavers@texascavers.com Hello Cavers! I'm excited to give y'all a quick update, and ask for help from my caving community again. After finishing up some insurance drama, and getting confident underground again after my accident 2 years ago, I've move to Louisiana and will be starting a new job in just a couple of weeks! As a confidence building exercise (plus it's something I really want to do) i'll be traveling to costa Rica this Saturday, and returning next Friday. This will be my first time traveling solo internationally, and there's a little anxiety from the parental units and boyfriend. I am relishing the opportunity to travel alone and spread my wings a little bit, after everything that's going on in my life for over two years, but I do want to make everyone in my life feel a little more comfortable with this decision. My question is, are there any members of our caving community living in Costa Rica at the moment? I know there are quite a few Texas Cavers in Mexico. Again, everything has been thoroughly planned, but it would be nice to know there is someone local to reach out to, in event of an emergency. Thanks everyone! If she is, keep Bennett away from her. He and birthdays are a bad combo. ;) On 31 July 2015 at 10:40, Lyndon Tiu via Texascavers texascavers@texascavers.com wrote: Mal's bday is same as TCR. Re: [Texascavers] Trip help?
Mallory, Tell us about your new job. For whom will you be employed and what will you be doing? Is it long or short term and in which city will you be living? What's happening in Costa Rica? Best of luck in this new endeavor. Everyone will miss you.
