Here is an interesting headlamp that would work great in many
Texas caves:

It is called the Mammut Lucido.
It has 4 light settings,
Flood-Light to 7 meters for 180 hours
Flood-Light to 14 meter for 155 hour
Spot-Light: 105 m / 145 h
Dual-Light: 105 m / 100 h
And uses AA batteries.
Unfortunately, it is way more expensive then other lights that are probably
just as good or better.
But it is lightweight, and comes in a bright red color to match your bright
red caving suit.
Note that unlike a lot of lights in its class, it does not have a
S.O.S. or flashing
setting, or colored LED lights.
