I am using CakePHP first time.

I was using oracle with CakePHP. Anyhow, I was not able to connect to the
database. I am not sure whether this is happening with other database or
not.

Finally, after debugging of 2 hours I found following bug:

cake/libs/datasources/datasouce.php
Line no: 365

Wrong:
$this-config = array_merge($this-_baseConfig, $this-config, $config);

Right:
$this-config = array_merge((array)$this-_baseConfig,
(array)$this-config, (array)$config);

I couldn't find SVN path for CakePHP, otherwise I would like to change it.

I like this framework.

Thanks,

Jaydeep.

This is nearly exactly the same bug as #3920, but it seems the function
has changed slightly and lost the fix that was given in that bug.BR
BR
When I submit a form with a HABTM relationship, but the HABTM relationship
value is empty, Cake throws the following error:BR
{}
BR
It appears that the test for empty was removed somewhere between RC2 and
RC3.BR
BR
A possible fix for the error is the following:BR
On line 1213 of model.php, insert the following:BR
{{{
if (empty($data)) {
$data = array( );
}
}}}

Please create an account at http://bakery.cakephp.org, once you have an
account you can make changes to the documentation yourself :) The
cookbook is a community project, and any help is appreciated.
BR
BR
The error you are referring to is probably a 1.1 vs. 1.2 problem. Most of
the cookbook is written for 1.2 while you may be using 1.1. Please check
the correct section of the cookbook.

The documentation tickets here are for problems with the cookbook
application, and the inaccuracies with the doc blocks

Hmmm... it appears this was fixed with the previous bug submission in
[6546]. Then the fix was removed in [7795], and then it was fixed again
via a different method in [7800] and is currently fixed in the HEAD.BR
BR
So... sorry to bother you. Must have grabbed a version at just the
right time to see this error again.BR
BR
Glad it's fixed though. Keep up the great work.
