Comment (by fernyb):

 I don't think autocompleter has a with option? As reading the
 documentation for it it doesn't support it. I think it was mistaken with
 the parameters option?
 I've attached a diff.

Comment:

 Unfortunately, no one know how to make that 'with' option works. No
 groups, no IRC, noone. When i put anything in with option like:

 echo $ajax-autoComplete('City.name', array('controller'='search',
 'action'='searchAutocompleteCity') ,
 array('minChars'='0','indicator'='wait_city', 'with'='some_id=12'));

 i expect anything to happen, at least something in generated html, but all
 i get is:

 new Ajax.Autocompleter('CityName', 'CityName_autoComplete',
 '/search/searchAutocompleteCity', {minChars:0, indicator:'wait_city'});

 In firebug there is one POST variable (from input field of autocomplete)
 and nothing else. Also $this-params contains nothing.

 It seems that this option is simply ignored and that is reason that i am
 reopenning this ticket.

 Please do not close it without explanation.
 Thank you.

 Moved to 1.2.x.x and changed type to bug, since the doc block describes
 the funcionality and does not return the expected result.
