Chris, the issue with deprecated functions is that wikifyPlain() was accidentally removed rather than just deprecated - this is fixed in 2.6.4. As for waiting for 2.6.4, there is now a tentative 2.6.4 released (see tiddlywiki-group-dev) which you can use. The reason that 2.6.4 is not fully

I'm not sure if I understand the difference between a fully announced and tentative release. The difference is that we are not yet recommending that general users upgrade. Only developer users should upgrade. I know that new users get 2.6.4, but new users tend not to have plugin compatibility
