Strangely, I've never encountered the problems you mentioned except
the table markup of TW.
(Fx 3.0.3/ WinXP SP3)

You could try these steps:
1) clear the cache and cookies of your browser
2) close your browser
3) open your TW in browser again

and/or please try the original copy downloadded form my sf project
site if it works correctly on your browser or not.

Recently, I'll release next version of this package, included a new
macro newWysiwygTiddler, fixed the problem of table markup and also
upgraded the editor to HTMLArea-3.0-last-20071025.
(It would be more compatiable with IE7)
