I have also found in addition to control-z for undo,control-y for redo.
Both work fine in the firefox browser and google chrome for me using a
computer. I don't have the possibility of testing it with a mobile.

Just an FYI pending better solutions ...
So long as you do NOT navigate away from being in the editor (i.e. a
"textarea") you CAN undo some previous edits in steps via the standrad undo
"Ctrl+Z" (in latest Firefox on a PC.)
Its not the best, but it works. It did it for me.
