Alas, this "Vertical" demo's GUI is set to French, the whole thing doesn't 
stay still long enough for me to peek under the hood , and the Demo 
tiddlers' "Stop" buttons (pounced on as soon as I glimpsed them) had no 
such effect. (Ah, finally found that "closing" the tiddlers for the slides 
stopped the automation, but still no insight as to whether what makes it 
tick could be easily extended to a long automated set...)

Also that old thread refers to "Evan's timer widget" but the link is dead.
