Unable to save Backup File - mGSD
I have pretty much completely moved over the Google Chrome from Firefox. I decided to give mGSD a try today. After getting the Tiddlysaver.jar I managed to get mGSD to save, but it keeps telling me it is unable to save the backup file. I searched the archives of this group and did what was suggested on http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Google_Chrome, none of which made any difference. Is there a workaround for this behavior? It kind of annoys me that I can't get a backup file. Andy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups GTD TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: autoLinks in transclusions
Hello whatever, thanks for your answer. To be honest, my single line solution was 'borrowed' from http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#DisableWikiLinksPlugin. It worked well up to now, so I thought of it being the central part of the plugin. And it did the job, as long as I eschewed partial transclusion (e.g. tiddler Tiddler##Section). Meanwhile I've re-read the plugin source and browsed the TW source and know now that it's only half the job. For the whole thing, the wikiLink formatter hast to be tweaked too. So my three line DisableWikiLinksPlugin replacement looks like this: for (var i=0; iconfig.formatters.length config.formatters[i].name!=wikiLink; i++); config.formatters[i].handler=function(w) { w.outputText(w.output,w.matchStart,w.nextMatch) }; Tiddler.prototype.autoLinkWikiWords = function() { return false; } UBi -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: Conditional MarkupPreHead
Hello all, I'm developing a web page using TW and I was wondering if is it possible to do an iPhoneMarkupPreHead that only loads when the device is an iPhone. Whenever you *save* a TiddlyWiki document, the contents of MarkupPreHead (and other Markup* tiddlers) are copied directly into the TiddlyWiki source document, so that they will be automatically processed by the browser when it loads the document. Note that this processing occurs BEFORE the 'onLoad' event is triggered, so NONE of the TiddlyWiki code has been invoked yet. As a consequence, you cannot use TiddlyWiki syntax within a Markup tiddler. However, *ALL* the normal browser-based syntax (HTML/CSS/Javascript) can be used (including script.../script blocks -- which are not natively supported by TiddlyWiki unless you add http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#InlineJavascriptPlugin) Thus, to conditionalize the loading of MarkupPreHead content, you should be able to use some Javascript to check the browser's navigator.userAgent variable and then only invoke the remainder of the content if the desired browser is detected. enjoy, -e Eric Shulman TiddlyTools / ELS Design Studios -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: Conditional MarkupPreHead
At this moment I have this piece of code. // ![CDATA[ if ((navigator.userAgent.indexOf('iPhone') != -1) || (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('iPod') != -1) || (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('iPad') != -1)) { config.shadowTiddlers.MarkupPreHead='[[IphoneMarkupPreHead]]'; } // ]] But I don't know if is correct. That code will not work... and shows a misunderstanding about the MarkupPreHead content First you CANNOT make reference ANY TiddlyWiki runtime variable (such as config.shadowTiddlers.*). When the content injected into the source file from MarkupPreHead is processed, the TiddlyWiki code has NOT been invoked yet, so NONE of the TW runtime data exists! Second... Even if you could re-assign the value of the MarkupPreHead SHADOW tiddler, that content is not *processed* during startup. The processing occurs on a COPY of that content that was injected into the source file when the document was *previously* saved. Third... The content you assigned into the shadow was simply a TiddlyWiki- syntax *link* to a named tiddler. As noted before, you CANNOT use TiddlyWiki syntax in the Markup* tiddlers, because their content is processed directly by the browser, without the availability of the TiddlyWiki run time code. In any event, even if this syntax was supported, it would NOT *invoke* the content from IPhoneMarkupPreHead, but simply place a TiddlyLink into the output. What you need to do it to put the conditional statement AND *all* the code it invokes *directly* into the MarkupPreHead tiddler, and don't use any TW syntax or try to access TW run-time data from within that code. -e -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] For Each Tiddler and Multi Tabbed Box Question
G'day The code below renders a multi tabbed 'box'. Each tab is labelled with the name of a tiddler. I would like to label each tab with the name of a tag and list the tiddler titles under each tab. My feeble attempt (also below) did not work. Any Suggestions? Original Code forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains(SQL)' sortBy 'tiddler.title.toUpperCase()' write ' [[+tiddler.title+ ]] \view [+tiddler.title+] \ [[+tiddler.title+]] ' begin 'tabs txtMyAutoTab ' end '+' none '//No tiddler tagged with \glossar\//' MY attempt which does not work -- forEachTiddler sortBy 'tiddler.title.toUpperCase()' write ' [[+tiddler.tag+ ]] \view [+tiddler.tag+] \ [[+tiddler.tag+]] ' begin 'tabs txtMyAutoTab ' end '+' none '//No tiddler tagged with \glossar\//' -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: For Each Tiddler Question
Thank you for your suggestion, it works beautifully. How can one find out more about all the available commands? Tony On Oct 3, 1:46 pm, octw blog...@gmail.com wrote: I would like to add a line to exclude some tags e.g. (in psuedo code) where tag contains task and tag EXCLUDES foo. Is this possible and if so, how? Yes, you can use the ! syntax: where 'tiddler.tags.contains(task) ! tiddler.tags.contains(foo)' Further more, you can do the and/or things like: ! tiddler.tags.containsAny([foo,hi,stop,ok])' Btw, why not go to Udo's site? There are tons of examples. http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#ForEachTiddlerExamples Cheers, octw -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] combining reorganizing tiddlies
Dear All, What is the best way to go about reorganizing tiddlies? For instance, I have two that I want to combine - is there a relatively simple way to do that? Possibly related: Is there a good way to go about managing tags, particularly renaming them? I have been using TiddlyWiki extensively to keep all of my academic notes for a PhD program for over two years now. [tw] Re: For Each Tiddler and Multi Tabbed Box Question
In my limited ForEachTiddlerPlugin knowledge, it is not likely that you can generate tags you use in a one-tab-one-tag form automatically. I think the best way is manually putting every single tag in an independent tiddler and list tiddlers with that tag. Then you can create a panel tiddler using tabbed interface tabs ... to collect them.
