select text+url to then paste it in one shot.
Could Tiddlywiki do something like this, somehow?

Your posts are excellent food for thought and will help me to make an

Thanks!

@Mark S. - sure Snap (much like Flatpak) is a novelty in the Linux world
(for now!) but are easy for devs to upkeep.
Hence, they are going to be the way for future app. updates and releases

Not a problem!
It's better to have more than less right?

Actually, it's more to have all kinds of anniversaries (b'days, marriage,
death etc.) of people and a repeat function (best with evidenced no. of
anniv. - as with 2nd b'day etc.).
Thank you for your willingness to help out a newbie!

- - -

Btw, with Firefox extension out of order and as i hope to become more of a
dedicated Linux user (Solus Budgie) to be more precise... it could be a
good thing to consider having a "snap" for TiddlyWiki that could easily fit
on most Linux distros. But that would be for another thread huh.

Didn't have to look that far!
There's an integrated MX Menu Editor through which i was able to set up and
get TiddlyWiki Desktop to go! :)
Don't know why i didn't try that step before.
Perhaps it's just because clicking on NW didn't do something in the first

(It's something i had done for Waterfox browser since it doesn't exist in
MX sofware repo. and won't install automatically).

Now i don't know how to mark this thread as solved...

I'm not sure if you solved your problem or not. Are you still having
issues? If not I will provide an empty tiddlywiky with just my plugin
working to make sure we are working with the same material.

[tw] Re: Highlighted search results possible?

2014-10-28 Thread DaComboMan
Danielo,

I'm not a TW expert...
Have been dragging my file over to latest TW 5.1.4, it asks for password
which i give then click save but still get:
5.0.10-beta
Using Firefox latest stable 33.1 and have rebooted many times.
Have to go!
Will look at your last suggestion later on in the day.

Thanks again!

In which TW version are you using it?
Please note that the default configuration is to do nothing unless the
search string is at least 4 characters long.
How did you install the plugin? It is not displaying anything or it is
just not highlighting ? Did you rebooted your TW after installing?

Try to copy the example tiddler from braintest and see if it works there.

 Regards.

[tw] Re: Highlighted search results possible?

2014-10-28 Thread DaComboMan
It's cause my file was password protected.

For the money, i've opened a new wiki and when i drag your link to the new
one all i get is:

The following tiddlers were imported:

# [[$:/plugins/danielo/context]]

It shows up in the plugins but there is no text.

BTW, your hyperlink here on opening page Tested under Tiddlywiky 5.0.7:
tiddlywiki
points to www.tiddlywiky.com - no y but i at the end correct?
http://www.tiddlywiky.com

 Hello DaComboMan,

This is definitively a weird situation, Why is it asking you for a
password? Please, try first in an empty TW and if it works, then import
 your tiddlers into it.

Thanks!

[tw] Re: How to shrink/reduce right panel on TW5 beta?

2013-12-25 Thread DaComboMan
Got it!

Was looking for save option within tiddler but it was on the right-side to
the 'gear' box that i had to look.
Thanks for your feedback Ton - it's nice to know someone is trying to help.
I feel if i can do the basics without having to run to the forums all the
time that basically anyone can do a TiddlyWiki.
This no.5 looks quite promising!

Cheers to you and Merry Christmas to all!

;)

 Hi DaComboMan,

 The simplest solution is:

 1) Click the Options/Control panel icon (gear in Sidebar = right panel).
 2) Select tab Theme Tweaks
 3) Adjust 'Story right' to your liking, from 770px (default) to e.g. 870px
 4) Adjust 'Tiddler width' width the same amount as in step 3) (100px) =
 686px =  786px

If you want to change more, do have a look at Dave Gifford's mall:
http://www.giffmex.org/tw5mall.htm or my toolbar guide at
 http://tw5toolbar.tiddlyspot.com/

 Cheers,

 Ton
