This is the normal behaviour, only the text field allows newlines. To allow
new lines you need to either use the text field of tiddlers or in data
tiddlers.

All I know is this: LINES in TW. in general, are likely its biggest PITA.
I suspect its something to do with HTML RENDERING. Mostly we write in
WikiText. But all that has to be converted to HTML. The final output to the
browser is wrapped in HTML tags. And some are added beyond what you might
