Thank you! I looked at the stylesheets before asking the question but I couldn't figure out why this happened. I didn't know I can rearrange stylesheets as you instructed, that is great. Sadly it didn't solve my problem - but I've found the problematic css areas in cardo's $:/plugins/Cardo/cont

See Control Panel > Info > Advanced > StyleSheets Notice how $:/themes/Cardo/base is the last (and has ones that are first) ? Perhaps make your own stylesheet that provides the CSS to override what ever cardio is making black, or edit cardios
