There was an "Open New Window" parameter in earlier Java viewer versions. If it's possible, please get it back. The new Java viewer is designed to behave more like the native viewers, so it has a rich GUI that includes features like remote desktop resizing, scaling, full-screen mode, and a lot of the other features that the C++ viewer has. Applets are a fastly dying technology, and applets displayed in the browser window even more so.
