[time-nuts] HP 5335a opt 40 addendum

2008-10-21 Thread Norman J McSweyn
Hi all! I'm having some trouble programming my 5335a. The manual that Agilent has doesn't cover opt 40. Have psyched out several of the codes that aren't in the manual. Using Labview 8, string that is sent is this: in,az1,bz1,ap0,bp0,fn2,trg (initialize) (chA impedance 50 ohms) (chB ) (chA

2008-10-21 Thread Matthew Smith
Hi Folks Finally got the builder here who is going to put my GPS antennae up on the roof. I don't have the hardware set up to connect my Trimble Ace II modules to anything but want to test the cables that I have made up here in my office. Both the Trimble and Motorola modules use active

Quoth Chris Kuethe: all my trimbles and oncores have +5 on center, ground on shield... Thanks Chris. I had guessed that would be the case and was on the verge of doing a test but decided at the last minute better safe than sorry. And the Trimble antenna works just fine on the Oncore. The

Quoth Chuck Harris at 2008-10-22 15:01... I'd be interested to know if any antennas are in fact the other way around. Never even considered that. It would have been fairly trivial for them to put a bridge rectifier before the amplifier's power stuff, allowing for either polarity. I

All the antenna's I have played with have been +5 volts for power. Is anyone aware of any other voltages ? (I know Garmin used +3V for some) Matthew Smith wrote: Quoth Chuck Harris at 2008-10-22 15:01... I'd be interested to know if any antennas are in fact the other way around. Never
