Just a quick report. The 5370B ROM image seems to work just fine in a 5370A. At least one GPIB sequence which would cause the original firmware to hang now seems to work fine. I put up a page describing how to change to the newer firmware, based mostly upon an earlier post by Mark Sims:

Lets see if this works. I am new to the time-nuts user group Just obtained a HP 5061a CS standard. Pumps down very well to 0 (Hard to believe) But it did. CS oven comes up to temp. But in operation no I beam current. Noticed that the tube states -2083V multiplier. But its regulating to -1606V can

How's the voltage across the hot-wire ionizer, and the mass spec voltage? I assume the other meter readings are within the tolerances given in the manual? Hopefully it's not an open ionizer filament. I bought one tube on eBay awhile back that had good vacuum but no ionizer continuity. -- john,
