Reply: True.  I have all the precision oscillators I need.  Four Rubidiums and 
two high stability crystal units.  Four nice sized salvaged HP cases that have 
working power supplies.  So all I have to do is install the oscillators then 
synchronize them with my two Lucent GPS receivers.

The VLF receiver is for a cross-checking the GPS and serving as a backup phase 
lock source.

Reply: True, mostly.  An article I had, but lost, explained that rubidium 
disciplined oscillators had better stability and explained why Allan deviation 
charts didn’t really give a true picture.  So that is why I want to synchronize 
mine.
