Hi,
If anyone is interested in historic GPS receivers (or old junk?) Mike Murphy
has a Rockwell Collins Navcore I up for sale, see:-
http://www.murphyjunk.bizland.com/id8.html (search on the page for navcor if
you don't see it).
I can't buy it as Mike does not export anything these days. I think
The link doesn't play nice on my machine. The page opens in Firefox
browser and shows some simple graphic of the earth with some clickable
spots (I think). Then I see a message from my firewall that Google Earth
is going out to the internet and all goes weird. The page gets new
grainy overlays
This is worth checking out for the path of Jan 15 eclipse.

Maybe if I had Duct-Taped it to a pendulum I may
have gotten more responses ??

I think you have to copy it down in pencil, then type it in yourself
as an "accurate position" on that position window. At least it
worked for me!

I did not use the self survey mode, my antenna position was accurately
surveyed and I used those coordinates.
I just entered them on SETUP menu, scrolled to POSITION and entered the
coordinates. Pressed the SET ACCURATE position radiokey, and then saved
the segment.

Hello group. I have an Agilent 16702A which works well from the built-in
monitor and also via the web interface. However, I have been unable to connect
to to it using VNC, even though the service is enabled.
Is there anybody on the list with experience in this area who might be able to

I am looking for schematics LPRO-101.
I would replace the original internal TCXO, low quality , with a OCXO.
I would try if with OCXO will be a better time base for driving
microwave instruments.

Just used my HP-428B yesterday to monitor the current in a 1200V line to
a PMT with an internal divider. Is really nice that I don't have to
worry about making high voltage electrical connections to check current.
Always wondered if I had one of the few left that had a working probe
on it. Gu
Well I do like my 428b. But several years ago I stumbled across a HP dc
clamp on probe battery operated for a few $. Works well but I really like
the large scale analog meter on the 428 so I tend to fall back on it.

Hi guys,
Extech makes a couple of very nice DC current clamp-on probes.
They have down to 1mA resolution, and one of them is very inexpensive
(around $140 if I remember correctly), and works as a standard multimeter as
well. Very rugged also.
Having a DC current clamp with 1mA resolution
Like my 428 also. But I have a tube version hybrid. It is drifting a bit and
one day I will get off my butt and address that. But its not bad enough to
open the case actually.
Using the ad588 as a current source is a good idea but semi expensive.
I looked up the ad558 yesterday and digikey wants $3

Hello, TimeNutters--
Oops!! I goofed--
I meant to say HP/Agilent 428B Sensitive Clip-On DC Milliammeter.
Only the latest revision model with a serial number

In their last revision, HP retained a couple of tubes in functions
