I've been running XP for years using its built-in simple NTP client to
query the NTP server on my server, which in turn synchronizes with a
variety of NTP sources on the Net.

Being an old-timer, I've been running Jag-Air's Nixie Clock

I've also used GPSCon with an HP Z3801 receiver as a source
for SNTP. The Jag-Air solution is much simpler.
Of course, NTP is more challenging, if that's what

someone educate me on why LH needs to talk to the web? Thanks.

Hi
Are you monitoring your own local TBolt, or the default internet hosted TBolt?

MS has/had a program to verify if your hardware would run win7. It has been too
many years for me to recall the name. But if you are running really old
hardware, it makes sense at some point just to dump it if you run it 24 and 7,

The first time I fired up LH, I was very surprised to see that it
thought I was in a location very far from here. I was also quite
surprised to see that the temperature it was measuring was quite
different from mine, and that it didn't seem to care if my TB was
turned on, or off.
Then I

Win7 is missing a few features of older MS operation systems. The search
feature is gone, but you can run a free program called everything. It is
so fast, you can turn off indexing. Also gone is hyperterminal, but you can
run terraterm, also free.

It has caused a lot of confusion, admittedly. That's why, in the more
recent releases, I changed the label on the icon to KE5FX TBolt (Seattle,
USA). But it seems that's still not enough of a hint, because people still

That's great. It needs to be some how linked to an archive of his

Just send me the link relative to archive.org of where the code should be

Thanks to all who responded to my lack of knowledge. When in doubt, read

right place. Thanks again.

Well
Esteemed Gurus,
I was checking out two operational HP 3586B’s which I normally use for RF work
on the lower frequencies and found out one would not sync below 300 KHz or so
and the other below 200 KHz on the Fo rear output connector.
So I contacted my friend Mike Fisch and asked him to do

If I understand correctly yours isn't working below the frequencies you
mention.
I have numbers of them and the are all working just fine. Regularly use
them to check on wwvb at 60 Khz and LORAN C at 100 Khz. Also for working on
the wwvb d-psk-r development.

Another great ham passes on, I'm sorry I never had a chance to meet him.
Is the GPS controller that Brooks published still useful today, or has it been
superseded by something newer? I have a Motorola GPS receiver (PVT-6) with 1
