(In light of a recent conversation)
My initial proposition is to use the mean function to close in on a
coarse frequency adjustment. Initially starting at 100 and then
moving to 1,000 samples. I'm using a Firefly I for the external time
base.
I doubt I'll have a plan for fine frequency adjustme
Does anyone have any details, schematics etc., on these units? I have
two racks with various modules, both set up for multiple 5 MHz and 1 PPS
distribution and would like to modify if possible to 10 MHz.
I have found two versions of the MBF RF output unit, one with series
tuned outputs as wel
I want to report that tboltmon works well on linux under Wine.
I'm running fedora 19, 64-bit (so the executable is wine64) and tboltmon
version 2.6
Getting a com port pointing to a USB serial adapter is it's own project, but
quite doable.

Hi
A multi turn (maybe 10 turn) pot and a few resistors can give you all you need
to drive the OCXO once it's warmed up. If you want to investigate right at 10
MHz, you probably need two 10 turn pots.

The slide switches on the 5370's use gold plated springs that slide on a PC
board. They are located such that the fan fills them with dust and dirt.
Failures are very common, but easy to fix. You need to disassemble the
switch board and clean everything.

If they were it would be a non issue, know how to do the basic fixes for
those and have multiple donors.
The bad switches on my 5370B are the slide switches on the right, start
sep/com, atten, etc.
This unit went through a warehouse style surplus dealer and took impact
