The Achilles heel of that biasing technique is that the emitter currents of the
pair of pnp's is affected by the noise on the 20V supply.
The 20V supply noise is only attenuated by a factor of 5 or so when both
transistors have equal collector currents.
I have both an LTC evaluation board for the

According to my 1982-1986 catalogs, the combination
of a HP3586A/B, HP85 and an optional HP3336A/B is
called a HP3046A/B.
In 1980 there was a HP3040A which was a network
analyzer that used the HP3330A/B synthesizer and the
HP3570A/B selective level meter... with no computer.
I just noticed that we are conducting this on
time-nuts. Since this has nothing to do with
time, perhaps we should move this thread to the
HP/Agilent group?

What commands were you trying to send that you got gps engine busy???
IIRC, some of the commands never got implemented. I'll fire one of mine

it's not tracking anything and such.

Yes, you do need a quiet supply -- I suppose I should have mentioned
that. But sufficiently quiet supplies are not hard to design,

Yes I sent the same email to my business account and could see it was 148KB.
Gmail does not give you email size cause they sell storage. So they make
it hard to manage your folders and the sizes. I did use thunderbird for a

Paul,
Your expectation works for text attachments. But binary attachments (e.g., jpg)
expand about 33%. That's 8/6, or log2(256)/log2(64), due to base64 encoding of
8-bit bytes.
In general, large attachments on this list are ok. It's just that when they are
above 128k they are temporarily
Hi
There are *some* mail outfits that will reject anything over 64K bytes. I have
not had to deal with any for a while, but they are still out there. How they
continue to operate with those sort of limits, I have no idea.
