TAPR sold a number of Motorola Oncore VP 8-channel GPS receivers with the TAC-2 kit in late 1990s. As I remember, the VP model will successfully emulate the earlier 6-channel model in equipment expecting the earlier model. It works fine in the Z3801A. There were likely Firmware versions with
