Hi all,
Since I mentioned this device back on the 5th I've had a few inquiries
on where to get it and a request for more info.
you can get the info here...

As previously mention, Glen will soon have an eCommerce

Hi Pete,
You probably want this...

Lots of VK's are lining up for the first run of boards to lock their radios.

Hi Wayne,
Congrats on a nice simple mod !
I have both a 53131 and 181 in need of these :)
Can you share the gerbers for your PCBs and then I can cut them out on
my mill.
I could probably make a few for any interested Australians, to save on
cross pond postage.
thanks

With all this discussion about PCB s/w I'm surprised no one's mentioned
DipTrace.
http://www.diptrace.com/
It has Gerber, DXF, OrCad and other export forms, + it has 3D library's
for popular components so you can see what your device is going to look
like before you build it.
It works
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a simple program to capture the frequency data from
a HP 5316B over a time period via GPIB ?
I'd like to do some tests on some oscillators I have vs temperature.
thanks

Hi all,
Just wondering how many people have used John Miles work @
http://www.ke5fx.com/tbolt.htm, or similar, to discipline a rubidium
oscillator and if so...
1. what was the RB of choice ?
2.have any measurements of phase noise etc. been published on such a rig ?
3. Are there any published
Hi Larry,
I use a linear supply for mine.
My supply is actually a headphone amp supply kit from JayCar Electronics
here in Australia. Its basically two LM317's and a 7805 for 5v. I
changed the resistor that set the output voltage from 15v to 12v and
also selected an appropriate toroid
Hi all,
I'm building a frequency master unit based on the Tbolt with associated
buffers and dividers to give multiple frequencies and outputs plus
utilising the PPS to provide the ref for an embedded linux box to
provide NTP. This will provide the 10Mhz and others as the master lock

Question. why not replace them with LED's ?
I've replaced incandescent lamps in all sorts of equipment with LED's,
looks much nicer :)

Hi all,
I use a Symmetricom 58532A, they have a gain of 30 - 38dBi. Just what
you need for a deaf Tbolt on the end of a long coax run :)
You can buy them off eBay for ~$30 each

Hi Jerry,
I use a Tbolt for my shack standard. It locks my Kenwood TS-850 and all
my counters and signal generators. They are excellent units for this
job. I use the TAPR TADD-2 distribution board kits to distribute the
signal to each device.

Um, the TADD-3 is the distribution amp, the TADD-2 is a PIC-based

Performance may be not stellar, but for the price it is a steal - US$40 for

Pity these things are in the US, it would cost US$150 to ship it to OZ :(

I wonder if they have an outlet on the US ebay or should I say epay.
Interested to hear more from anyone doing business with them.
Especially if this receiver does do the 20 ns timing as stated.

Sorry in my haste I did not realize there were 2 distinctly different

With or without bluetooth. The sans bluetooth module has a coaxial
connector for +5v input which is weird since, as you say the usb port
powers the unit.

FYI. just tried the module with Tardis
