Doh! You're quite right, Dan! What I did was use a couple of unused
logic gates to buffer and bring out a one second output pulse on the
external power BNC; essentially used the 59309 as a divider as well as a
clock. How memory fades and takes on a completely differing picture

It's also a relatively simple mod to rearrange things in the 59309A
to accept the 1 pps input from a GPSDO. I no longer have my unit for
the exact reference, but it simply involved lifting one
