I just noticed that we are conducting this on time-nuts. Since this has nothing to do with time, perhaps we should move this thread to the HP/Agilent group? hp_agilent_equipm...@yahoogroups.com -Chuck Harris Chuck Harris wrote: Are you sure? Re: [time-nuts] HP3336B S/N Question
When a common HP instrument is sold as part of a system, HP would often give the instrument two badges. One was the common instrument badge, and the other was the system badge. In your case, your HP3336B was sold as part of an HP 3040L system. (Whatever that was). Usually, there are also some modifications that were essential to making the common instrument work in the system. -Chuck Harris w...@aol.com wrote: So... My HP3336B has TWO HP S/N plates... Re: [time-nuts] HP3336B S/N Question
Hello Don, I suspect: Original sticker 2127 early '80s manufacture later sticker 2514, remanufactured or modified to special customer specs, mid 80's 3040L is the custom system the device was used in. I like this synthesizer, either get the WECO adapter to a BNC(female) or just add a female BNC on the blank spot on the 75 ohm output front panel. Re: [time-nuts] HP3336B S/N Question
Hi Stan... Funny thing about the labels... The 2514 label is the style that you would expect on a piece of HP gear. Shows the AC input setting and other info. Both the 2127 and the 3040L System labels are narrow metallic labels, with the HP name s/n info and nothing more. So I don't know what to think. But your idea is an interesting one!! I need to find my adapter... Got a bunch of them years ago... ;-) TNX Stan 73 Don W4WJ In a message dated 7/10/2014 12:28:47 P.M.
