You will see used tubes for sale from time to time. That’s about the only
“cheap” way to
re-tube your dead Cs standard. It’s very much a gamble any time you buy one.
There
is no guarantee you are getting anything better than what you already have.
There is nobody out there doing “real”
Taka thats exactly why in general we time nuts get the old sort of working
equipment.
We are on the tail end of life.
Cesium tubes can not be refurbished economically as discussed many times on
time nuts.

When a tube goes you have to find another system and
I have a Datum FTS 4040A. I believe the tube is original but it is still
locking and staying in lock just fine. I don't know for how long. In an event
where tube goes soft/dead, replacing it with factory new replacement part is
out of question for cost. Are there any refurbished tubes

Haven't had this happen with my Z3801, yet, but guess I should expect
