I did not use the upstream build scripts/tools (including configure and
Makefile), they are not applicable on older platforms. IOW I
ose to there. If there's some VirtualBox image of Minix2 that I can

Unfortunately, I am only aware of public 16-bit Minix-2 images, they
would not help.
