Sounds like you are trying to reinvent the TOSBase or BaseStation apps.
I believe they use lower level calls because GenericComm can only have
one active message at a time, using the send() to sendDone() paradigm.
In any case, look at those two existing apps for clues.

I'm porting tinyos to the new msp430F2x1x. I've already compiled the msp-gcc
to support the new microcontroller families but after trying to compile some
applications generated by nesC I found that the symbol $ is added.
After looking a while I've detected that distributed versions of msp-gcc
Check to see that the power switch on the mote and the on/off switch
on the end of the MIB510 are both off.
Second, motelist only works with telosb. Very unfortunate.

Answering my own question: It looks like msp430 is a 16-bit processor.
This explains why I have problems, but not why the compiler allowed it

There are two levels of packet formatting.
First is related to 'Serial.h', and second is related to delimiting
and escaping.
Serial.h has been modified (2.0.0->2.0.2->2.HEAD)...

Hi all,
I confused with these 2 types of interface, ChipSpiResource and SpiResource,
used in CC2420 transmit module.
