Most of what I was looking for in terms of discussion (i.e., is this a crazy
idea) is happening on the list right now. I’m hoping that only folks who
haven’t said something on list can get up and say “oh hey great” or “oh hey
wait a minute”.

Given the volume of discussion on the list, I assume that the
deprecated TLS 1.*<1.2 discussion is for the purpose of an
announcement only. There are things on the agenda that I (personally)
would prefer to see set aside for more time on that topic. For
