Hi.... I have a short suggestion (if not already suggested / implemented). (If it has already been implemented, and I haven't found it by googling, I apologize).
The suggestion is: (similar to the group functionality in 'terminator'), would it be possible / feasble to implement something similar? Not the current "mirror input to all windows" (the "syncrhonize-panes" command), but where one can select / mark windows or panes that should be (or should not be) part of a "group"?
