Sorry, but I'm not changing this. The changelog is for *release* only. Code that's in-flight before then is subject to change, and you'll just have to accept that fact; cribbing from the commit messages are you go, or asking specifically how something works or why it's broken. We welcome testing during release cycles as it's invaluable. But the changelog isn't something you should rely on---even at the point of release since it's just there for an overview, not immense detail. For that, we have the commit messages.
