Richard (and Kenneth), I re-booted into Linux, and I stand corrected. 0.5.7 pre3 has the splash screen that doesn't disappear and displays over the Connections panel. AND, the latest version 0.6.1.Alpha 1 does the same thing. It is as though the "splash" screen doesn't know how to close. I
