Hmm, I've done this under Windows XP a while back but I'll have to find this
file under Linux.

[Tn5250j-general] Java Permissions

2006-10-18 Thread Fred Horvat
Hello,

I am trying to run TN5250J under Xandros Linux 4.0 Professional. When I call
up the HTML page the Applet starts and then I get the following message :
Applet has insufficient privilidges to continue please grant these to continue.
 Access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission.java.policy read)

How would I go about correcting this? I normally just install TN5250 for
Debian but under the new Xandros 4.0 there are dependency issues.

Re: [Tn5250j-general] tn5250j

2006-08-04 Thread Fred Horvat
I went through this exact same thing on a Windows XP machine. What I
researched and found out was that the "java.policy" file needed to be changed
on the local machine to change security features for TN5250J to run in a
browser on the Windows XP machine. I don't recall exactly what the changes
were off the top of my head since it was a while back. I did make a copy of
the original file and the modified file. If you'd like I can E-mail then to
you.
