http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=14359 largefile option has no effect Summary: largefile option has no effect Product: Tomcat 4 Version: 4.1.12 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: Other Component: Jasper 2 AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In my opinion the largefile option of the jsp servlet in the global web.xml file seems to be without effect. No ".dat" file are generated like in 4.0.x. I have also scanned the jasper2 code for this option. The option is set at the EmbededServletOptions class, but nobody seems to use this value inside of the jasper package? If i have a large jsp page, which produces a method, that is bigger than 64k the following execption is thrown: javax.servlet.ServletException: org/apache/jsp/ch1253utf8_jsp (Code of a method longer than 65535 bytes) at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:248) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationDispatcher.invoke (ApplicationDispatcher.java:684) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationDispatcher.doInclude (ApplicationDispatcher.java:575) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationDispatcher.include (ApplicationDispatcher.java:498) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:tomcat-dev-unsubscribe@;jakarta.apache.org> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:tomcat-dev-help@;jakarta.apache.org>
